Acrylic Foam Tapes
Acrylic foam tapes are the height of adhesive tape technology; their bond is so strong they are suitable for replacing rivets in the manufacture of body carriages for trucks, trains and in some applications aerospace.
These high performance tapes are an ideal way to create permanent, reliable bonds to an extensive variety of substrates including most metals, glass, plastics, wood, composite materials and painted surfaces. They can be used to replace mechanical fasteners, liquid adhesives, spot welds and other permanent fasteners.
Acrylic foam tapes are one of the things that work against in the box thinking; for the most part to the touch they don’t feel ‘sticky’ (which confirms that that isn’t the test of how good a tape is) to the touch but when they are placed on the correct surfaces and left to cure (reach 60% bond in 10 minutes, max in 72 hours) they wont be coming off.
We can supply in tape thicknesses from 0.25mm through to 1.14mm, and widths of 12,19 and 25mm as standard.
